Wow!! I just realized my last post was almost 8 months ago - yes Kayla, I'm finally gettting around to adding a new post...enjoy it, chances are it will be months before I get back around to it :)
Where to start, what to share...Yikes its a bit overwhelming perhaps I will just leave it at that and try again in another 8 months. No, no not really. Okay here it goes, I've got my muck boots on and I'm ready to jump in with both feet. We'll go month by month...If you need to get something to drink or use to the restroom you might want to do that now, because once we hit the road we're not stopping unil we get there - right Torrie?!?!
Okay I'm back...being 25 weeks pregnant (details to come in the December section) I had to use the restroom and refill my non-alcoholic beverage.
August...In the final planning stages for our big day. We celebrated my Bridal Shower and Bachelorette party alongside the Dawson Co. Fair and that other "panty-filled" or perhaps I should say lack there of bachelorette party. Have no fear we showed them how we roll with our A-1 dance moves like the Sprinkler, Lawn Mower, and Shopping Cart. Under the lead of Barbie - whistle and all - we marched in line to our favorite Dawson Co Fair exhibit booth, the Elks Booth. We wrapped up the morning dancing to the band playing - can't remember who it was... That brought us to the end of the month and the start of the academic year. Thus bringing 2 new teams into our lives. Team members who have become like family to all of us including the girls.
September...September 5th in a warm early evening we said "I Do" with all of wonderful family and friends present in an outdoor ceremony. We followed the ceremony with a reception where Boones Farm was used to make toasts! The first month of married life was a quick "Hey, how's your day...have you seen my keys...love you be back in 4 days..." Coaching sent each of us going in opposite directions.
October...Alumni Weekend introduced October with a bang! It's alway fun to have all the alumni, their families, and their stories back for the weekend. Our fall team practices wrapped up and we finally got family time. We ended the month trick-or-treating and our lil Ladybug, Brae, got her first sugar high...ahhh!
November...Hunting, hunting, and more hunting. In between we found time for Thanksgiving and packing for our Vegas trip.
December...Viva Las Vegas! Brent and I went on our first trip without the girls, it was fun but we were ready to get home. While in Vegas we took in the first four rounds of the National Finals Rodeo and did the tourist thing. Upon returning from Vegas and gearing up for Christmas we were surprised with some exciting news...I'm pregnant and due in June! Ringing in the New Year stick sober is quite a people watching experience!
January...Welcome 2010! Braelyn turned 2 - where does time go? January also brought a change of scenery for me - no not outside, it was still white, covered in snow and continuing to accumulate - I changed jobs. I truly enjoyed my old job but with the high stress level and financial expenses brought about by baby #2 and daycare it wasn't feasible. I started working at the college as the English/Social Science/Study Skills tutor part-time and only when school is in session. Baseball practice was in full swing for the spring season, thus limiting family time.
February...It's a BOY! Yes a boy, another big surprise considering the ratio of boys to girls in our family. Thanks in part to my former high school shop teacher, who told Brent the most important Valentine's Days were those when your wife is pregnant, he bought me jewelry - his previous statements had been to enjoy my wedding ring set as it would more than likely be the only jewelry he'd buy ;) Near the end of February we happily and excitedly celebrated Alex and Kayla's exchange of vows - Brent was able to return the favor and stand up for Alex. The last day of February brought the first day of Baseball Bachelorettehood.
March...Here we are, being teased with spring and then waking up this morning to that nasty four letter word...SNOW! Want some cheap entertainment come by the house and watch the pregnant lady shovel her sidewalks thanks again to being a Baseball Bachelorette! If you do come by would you please grab an oxygen tank, I may need it!
I'm sitting here tightly crossing my leg with a fair case of cotton mouth so I'm going to have to excuse myself. Until next time...
I leave you with the following quote....
"When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before." - Mae West
3 Girls + 2 Guys + 2 Dogs + 2 Teams = Our Life
This is our life...as crazy as it may seem

Long Time, No See..
So...I had good intentions of keeping this updated on a more consistent basis, but something just keeps gettin' in the way. It's always the same something, too. Let me see...what's the word for it...I'm looking for a politically correct term...LIFE, yeah that's the right word! Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining about life or my life. I love life and I love my life. If you would have told me five years ago that today I would be jugglin' a 19 month old full-of-life-and-love blondie with her mother's middle name, plannin' a weddin that is going to take place just days shy of a month and invites are still bein' stuffed, sortin' through what seems to be a bottomless pit of dirty laundry, attemptin' to make a home, chasin' rodeos across the state as a timer and no longer a competitor, searchin' for free time to pick up a rope and saddle a horse again...I would have laughed in your face and suggested we take another shot, probably of tequila, to toast to your craziness. It is truly amazing what life has in store for each of us. Life is a gift, not a guarantee and should not be lived, but rather celebrated. You only have one life to live, therefore do not just dream your dreams, live them and live them out loud!! And to that I should best be gettin' back to stuffin' invites in anticipation for the conclusion of naptime. Remember to cherish each moment, relish the time spent with family and friends, and embellish your life with all that you dream of. The quote I will leave you with this time is...
"Living might mean taking chances, but they're worth taking,
Loving might be a mistake but it's worth making."
~Leanne Womack

Testin 1, 2...Testin 1, 2...
After much persuasion and encouragement from Kayla, exploring the inbox of my Hotmail account every blue moon, and the realization that my trusty and cautious best friends Jill and Barbie each had a "blog" I jumped in with both feet! So here we go...maybe...let me start by saying my post will more than likely be random in nature, timeliness, and frequency. As Brent has informed me, "...I don't care if you use my name in the address, but I'm probably not going to check it..." I didn't even attempt to explain to him that it wasn't email, somethings are just better left unsaid... Therefore I will most likely be the sole "blogger" here and will do my best to keep all updated. And on that note I'll leave you with this quote...
"The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!"
